Dr. Ramagosa is a board-certified dermatologist specializing in general dermatology, skin cancer detection and treatment, high risk medication management, pediatric dermatology, and surgical dermatology. Dr. Ramagosa was born and raised in South Florida. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Georgetown University in Washington, DC.
Dr. Ramagosa was diagnosed with early stage melanoma just after graduating from college, and this spurred a passion that would drive his career choice. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine, graduating Magna Cum Laude. He was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society during his third year, the highest academic honor in medical school.
After completing an internship in Internal Medicine at Georgetown University Hospital, Dr. Ramagosa completed his Dermatology residency at the University of Colorado in Denver, and served as Chief Resident of both the University of Colorado Hospital and Children's Hospital Colorado. His research has been published in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology. He founded Sunrise Dermatology in 2011 along with Dr. Scott Freeman, and lives in Fairhope with his wife, Amy, and two children.
Dr. Ramagosa has been honored as the "Best Dermatologist" in Mobile and Baldwin counties by the Lagniappe Nappie awards for 4 consecutive years (2016-2019) and was selected to Mobile Bay Magazine's class of 40 under 40 in 2019. He sees patients in both Mobile and Daphne offices.
