About Dr. Coates
Dr. LaKimerly Coates is a board-certified dermatologist and fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology with more than 25 years of experience providing comprehensive medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatologic care. She is dedicated to helping patients achieve healthy skin through compassionate, personalized treatment.
Dr. Coates earned her bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from the University of California, Irvine before receiving her medical doctorate from Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pa., in 1996. She completed her dermatology residency at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
Throughout her career, Dr. Coates has treated a wide range of conditions involving the skin, hair, and nails, with clinical interests including skin cancer detection and treatment, acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, and cosmetic dermatology. Patients appreciate her thorough, approachable style and commitment to high-quality care.
