Mohs surgery is a highly specialized technique in dermatologic surgery for treating skin cancer, with a 99% cure rate even for cancers that have been previously treated using other methods. With two full-time fellowship-trained Mohs surgeons on staff, we offer on-site diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer, including melanoma, and Mohs reconstructive surgery at our Sunrise Skin Cancer Surgery Center in Mobile, Alabama.

Dr. Scott Freeman is a board-certified, fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon who trained under the direction of Drs. John Zitelli and David Brodland in a Mohs Surgery, Cutaneous Oncology, and Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery fellowship. The training is officially approved by the American College of Mohs Surgery and the AMA’s Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education. Dr. Freeman brings more than a decade of experience in Mohs Surgery.

Dr. Vernon Forrester completed his fellowship training in Micrographic Surgery & Dermatologic Oncology (Mohs) from the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic Foundation and has been at the forefront in the development of the latest and most advanced dermatological treatments and techniques.
