About Dr. Zieman

Daniel Zieman, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon dedicated to providing exceptional, patient-centered dermatologic care. He specializes in Mohs micrographic surgery, skin cancer treatment, medical dermatology, surgical dermatology, and cosmetic dermatology.

Dr. Zieman received premier training in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology during his dermatology residency at Mayo Clinic in Florida, where he cared for patients with complex medical dermatologic conditions and cutaneous oncology needs. Following residency, he completed an American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS) Cosmetic Dermatologic Surgery Fellowship, further advancing his expertise in cosmetic procedures. He then completed advanced fellowship training in Mohs micrographic surgery, gaining specialized experience in the treatment of skin cancer and complex facial reconstruction.

During his time at Mayo Clinic, Dr. Zieman conducted research and published articles on topics including skin cancer in non-white solid organ transplant recipients, cutaneous paraneoplastic syndromes in patients with Hodgkin’s lymphoma, and other important areas of dermatologic medicine.

Born and raised in Mobile, Alabama, Dr. Zieman earned his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Auburn University, graduating summa cum laude with Honors Scholar distinction. He received his medical degree from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine, where he was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society in recognition of his academic excellence and leadership.

Outside the office, Dr. Zieman enjoys boating, fishing, reading, basketball, playing guitar, traveling, and spending time with his family.
