At Sunrise Dermatology we strive to offer our patients appropriate and successful treatments in order to provide exceptional results. Most of our laser and light based therapies are performed through the Alma Harmony laser system, one of the most advanced laser platforms available today.

The Clearlift is a virtually painless, non-ablative approach to laser skin resurfacing. Using 1064 Q-Switched laser technology, patients enjoy fast, comfortable treatments with visible results and no downtime. This treatment is recommended to be done in a series and can also be combined with chemical peels for an even better result. The goal of Clearlift is to initiate a skin tightening and lifting response through induction of new collagen synthesis in the dermis via targeted cellular heating.

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatment is an ideal treatment for anyone who wishes to even out their skin tone from sun damage or aging. IPL uses a broad band of light covering specific wavelengths to treat underlying red and brown pigments in the skin. Some patients find that one treatment is enough to achieve their desired results and others may need several depending on the severity of damage. A balanced skin care regimen incorporating sun protection and other topical therapies is recommended to maintain IPL results and we remain engaged with our patients to help guide them along the path to a beautiful complexion.

The Cooled Long Pulsed Nd:YAG laser is used to target vascular lesions in the skin.  Vascular lesions can be caused by a variety of factors, including cumulative sun damage, genetic conditions and aging, and medical conditions such as rosacea. Some examples of focal vascular malformations include spider veins, broken capillaries, and cherry angiomas.  The Alma Cooled Long Pulsed Nd:YAG laser is one of the most advanced methods of treating vascular abnormalities available today.  The self-cooling technology incorporated into this laser device dramatically improves patient comfort allowing for a more relaxed treatment experience.  As with most laser modalities, multiple treatments are recommended to achieve the most successful results possible.

The Pain Free, Hair Free Laser Hair Removal system can remove unwanted hair with little to no pain.  Unwanted hair can be embarrassing and uncomfortable for patients due to the need for frequent shaving or painful ingrown hair development.  With laser hair removal it is possible to remove the stubborn hair on the body or the face.  Laser hair removal with the Alma system using in motion technology (as opposed to static pulsing) is the most effective and comfortable way to remove unwanted hair permanently.  6-8 treatments are typically recommended for optimal results and touch ups once per year are often advised depending on treatment area.  Unfortunately, laser hair removal does not work permanently on white, blonde, grey, red, or very fine hair.  With the gentle Pain Free Hair Free system from Alma, all skin types can be treated, including more darkly pigmented skin.

The Q-switched 1064nm Nd:YAG and Q-switched 532nm KTP lasers for tattoo removal are some of the most effective tattoo removal systems on the market today. These lasers are an effective treatment for dark tattoo inks, specifically black, blue and green and lighter colors such as red, orange, and yellow respectively. Some colors are harder to remove than others and may take more treatments to achieve good resolution.  Because of the wide variety of tattoo locations, colors, and ink constituents, we are able to give our patients a good sense of expectations in regards to treatment number, duration, and cost only after a thorough consultation and evaluation.

Pixel fractional laser resurfacing is the gold standard in skin resurfacing and is ideal for any patient looking to improve rough skin, decrease fine lines, or treat acne scarring.  Representing the best of both worlds for skin resurfacing, Pixel CO2 combines the proven effectiveness of an ablative approach with a level of patient comfort and convenience that approaches a non-ablative solution. With Alma Pixel treatment downtime is significantly reduced compared to traditional laser resurfacing and generally lasts only 1 week or less.  We recommend the application of a topical numbing agent prior to any fractional resurfacing procedure to optimize patient comfort.

At Sunrise dermatology, we pride ourselves on our exceptional communication with all of our patients, and laser services are no exception.  We generally insist on pretreatment consultations before booking any of these laser services, so that expectations are clear, treatment types are appropriate, and patient satisfaction after treatment is high.  To enhance follow up and patient success, we always offer a $25 follow up microdermabrasion (regular price: $70) 7-10 days post procedure.  We look forward to showing you what exceptional dermatologic care feels like.
